Exploring the idea of destruction Herman Nitsch exposes the taboos of life from crucifixion to disembowelment his images illustrate destruction in the most literal way. Taking this further I want to replicate the motion of disembolwement within my jacket, the idea of forcing the insides onto the outside to expose what we don't see.

The augmented and outstretched hands create an eerie, yet beautiful image. They are placed in a way that maintains the individuality of each hand, yet connects the figures together to form an entirely different shape. The material itself looks wet and malleable, however is hard and rigid. This is fascinating because there is a disconnect between the appearance and texture of the substance. Studying these forms is important to my research as it gives me insight into various silhouettes and the processes of different artists.
